I had the pleasure of dining at Giuseppe's Cafe recently and was blown away by the flavors and quality of the dishes. The chicken cacciatore pasta was a standout, with tender chicken and perfectly cooked pasta tossed in a savory marinara sauce. The baked feta appetizer was also a hit, with the creamy cheese complemented by the tangy tomatoes and onions. Overall, my experience at Giuseppe's Cafe was fantastic, and I can't wait to return to try more of their mouthwatering offerings.

It's been around since 2002 so they must be doing something right! Giuseppe's is the Italian name for Joseph and their website says the owners name is Joe, so I can only assume that's where the name came from. We loved dining here. When you're looking for "a place where the locals go," this would definitely fit the bill. The inside is small and cozy, which leads me to suggesting getting a reservation. We went on a Wednesday night at 5pm and it was packed. I didn't think we'd need a reservation but I'm glad I called earlier in the day and got one. Parking was not ideal but not horrendous. It's somewhat of a triangle shaped building and there's parking on the perimeter of it (notice in video) and some spots across the street. A smaller car would have no problem but we were in my husband's (obnoxiously large) truck. We started with a sauv blanc and a miller lite. ($10 & $4) I am a processo/brut girlie through and through but that wasn't on the menu. I got sauv blanc bc that's what Tswift drinks so what could go wrong. I had ONE glass and I had cotton mouth and a touch of a headache the next morning. But it was delicious. I digress... We got baked feta as an app and loved it. Perfectly creamy but tangy. The crostinis were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. (9) David got chicken florentine and loved. Chicken spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes in the homemade Alfredo over fettuccine. This was very creamy and tasted homemade. (17) I got the special of mahi mahi over pasta. So good and light. Mine was much more lemon-y than David's. The capers really set it over the top. I will say the fish was a tad fishy. But nothing unbearable. (Unsure of price - but I'd assume under 20) We don't opt for dessert much but at Italian places it's almost mandatory. The cheesecake had a creamy vanilla layer on top. It was perfectly fluffy and would definitely recommend. Giuseppe's, we will be back!

Last night was our first time trying Guiseppe's and we will 100% be going back!! The food was delicious, the staff was extremely kind, and it was all around a great experience. I didn't take a picture of our main courses because we immediately dug in!

Came late Friday night but well worth the wait. Food was amazing and so was the service. I ordered the chicken Florentine while my sister ordered the four cheese calzone and my niece spaghetti and a side salad. We also shared their baked feta appetizer. We ate everything and enjoyed this cute hole in the wall place. An absolute gem of an Italian eatery.

Giuseppes is a classic hole-in-the wall restaurant in Birmingham! Great food for great prices. Do not expect a luxurious, fancy dinner. It definitely has Olive Garden vibes, but is much better. I recently had the manicotti dish, which was delicious and cheesy. The portions are huge, so we usually have leftovers. Staff is very friendly and service is usually quick. I would recommend making reservations if you are planning to go for dinner on the weekend, as this small restaurant can get packed easily. Overall, we love Giuseppes!

MAMA -MIA! Haven't seen a friend of mine in a while, we decided before we both go on our vacations this month we wanted to grab dinner and hang out. This friend I have not seen in a couple months so its always a treat to see him and grab a casual meal together. When I sent him some options, we realized that we typically go to Mexican spots, but never really branch out from there. Tonight he decided on picking the spot and we came to Giuseppe's Cafe. Italian food I grew up on, I have had some good, some bad and some in between too. I always love to explore the Italian food spots in Birmingham because I know there aren't as many Italians around as when I was growing up around. From the outside looking in it's a small restaurant that looks like a house. But when you walk inside it is a large seating area with both inside and outside seating areas. Due to the rain we chose to sit inside. The tables are wooden and give a very rustic aesthetic to the restaurant. One thing that kind of threw me off was that the table we sat at had a very sticky feeling to it. Not really something i was expecting. As soon as we sat down a friendly waitress came over, she was fun and energetic. We ordered the bread sticks to start. Honestly, they were just okay in both our opinions. The bread was toasted with some spices on top, though it had a bland flavor to it. For our entrees each of us got a pasta dish. I got the manicotti which is pasta that is rolled up with ricotta cheese in the middle. This is a traditional Italian dish, I re,ember the days where I would sit there and physically roll these pastas to sell in the market I worked at in FL. My friend got the penne with sausage and vegetables. He really enjoyed this dish. Both of the entrees were large and we both had to take left overs home. I just wish that the menu had items on it that sounded a bit more Italian. Instead of writing the simplicity, of penne with... give it a real name. This adds character and an extra layer of charm to the menu items. Overall, I will love to return, though I wish that so,e things were a little different.
